Pirate King of the Castle

Now I fancy meself a man of the sea, but today we took a castle by storm!

Pirate Daddy asked me to join his crew as they explored a fort what once were home to fearsome warriors.

Aye!  It made me weak in the knees to see that I were atop so lofty a point.  Me old crow's nest weren't even so high!  And not a mermaid in sight!!!

Daddy pirate must have spied me looking about and sensed me uneasy state.  "Aye Shortbeard, me old friend," he said, "Let me show ya somethin' what might take the green out of yer cheeks!"

He snatched me up and off we went.  Well, it were but a few minutes later and thar she were.   A bell, just like the one what hangs from the mast of me own ship back home.  I jumped up and grabbed the rope and pulled with all me might.

And what a beautiful sound to hear that bell ringin' out over the land.  Just like the bell I ring when I'm about to launch me attack on me next victim.

But that weren't all, let me tell you.  For Pirate Daddy had another surprise in store for this old sea dog. "Well blow me down," said I.  If it ain't a cannon--just like the ones aboard me old ship!"

Well, let me tell you.  I hadn't any dry powder on me, but if I had, what a blast I'd have sent forth from this firey beast!

I tried to fire her all the same, but she were as empty as me last bottle of rum.  Never you mind--the sight of that old cannon lifted me spirits more than I can say!
