I be a captain too, you know! But it be Pirate Daddy who always gets to steer the ship.
"Let me take her out for a short cruise," said I to Pirate Daddy.
"Aye, Pirate Shortbeard," Daddy answered. "But this ship be like none you've ever laid eyes upon before. Best ye take care and let me show you how she sails."
"Argh...." I know what I'm doin'" said I, as I jumped in and took the wheel.
"Why's she not a sailin'?" asked I.
"Ye be needin' a key first!" said Daddy.
"Be this the key?" I asked. "Aye," said Daddy.
"And what be this odd contraption?"
"That be the gear shift. Ye have to work the both at the same time!"
"Shiver me timbers!" said I. "This ship is a wily contraption!"
"What say, I put ye in charge of the music instead?" asked Daddy.
"Aye! Now that be a job for ol' Shortbeard! I know just the tune!"
